Day 21 - remodeling the game scene
Hi,
I’ve been working on the main game scene. One goal I’m currently working toward is the construction mode.
It feels like a great addition, though I haven’t decided yet whether it will only affect the shop layout or extend to other parts of the environment.
One new idea I explored is adding a community hall, where customers can sleep and eat if no proper seats are available.
I worked for 3–4 hours and got the main scene (start scene) to about 60% done.
The most challenging part was modifying meshes the way I wanted.
Some prefabs looked great, but couldn’t be mirrored. When using UModeler, the object just disappeared. I suspect it’s an LOD issue, but I haven’t found the right solution yet.
So I’ll start moving towards Blender.
