Day 26 - trade UI and demo polish
Hi!
I’ve been working on the trade UI.
This is where the player can offer services and gold in exchange for items that the traveller wants to sell.
(Yes—I’ve decided to change the name from Customer to Traveller. I think it fits the game’s theme much better.)
Each request now gets an individual offer.
For now, I’m sticking to single item exchanges (just quantity: 1) during development, mostly for clarity and simplicity in the UI.
I currently have a scroll-like layout for the trade view. It still needs polish, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s shaping up.
The other thing I worked on today is demo polish.
I’m aiming to release the demo in about 2–3 months, which means I need to finish most of the core systems in the next 4–6 weeks.
Here are some of the key features I’m focusing on for the demo:
- Menu settings (players can set up menus that travellers will request from)
- Weapon display system
- Item collection feature (display-only sets that give bonuses if fully collected)
- Story-related events
- A functioning day system
Once I wrap up the trade portion, I’ll move on to polishing the day system and other features.
Stay tuned—and thank you for reading! (In case anyone out there is actually following my game dev journey!)
