Day 4 – Placement Progress & Sleepless Dev Nights

Hi, I’m back again!

Today I continued working on the item placement system. I even streamed a bit of my dev process link (though fair warning: the audio isn’t great, so I wouldn’t recommend watching it unless you’re really curious, haha).

While there’s still some refactoring to do, I did manage to get the placement logic working—items now turn green when they can be placed and red when they can’t. It’s small progress, but super satisfying.

After that, I started working on the inventory system. Unfortunately, I had to cut the session short when my son woke up in the middle of the night (dad life!).

I’ll be continuing on the inventory side tomorrow and sharing updates as I go.

Also, I plan to post a milestone update on my studio blog soon, with some pictures and maybe short video clips.
