Make your move (Day 34)

Hi,

Today, I worked on the main trade logic, which involves travellers coming in to buy, sell, or use services. Although the main trade logic and UI need more polishing, the main game loop is almost finished. The only thing I need for now is to connect the effects (floating golds and emojis) after the trade is confirmed.

The main trade logic starts as a traveller comes to the counter. It is similar to games like Supermarket Simulator. However, instead of just buying goods, the traveller tries to buy, sell, or use services depending on the situation.

As the trade starts, the player can suggest a price for each item on the list. After setting up the price, the player can offer. If the offer is satisfying, the traveller will accept the offer, and the player can confirm the trade. But, if the offer is not satisfying, then the player has to retry. And there'd be a retry limit, where you cannot retry the offer infinitely.

Tomorrow, I will keep working on the placement. Furniture can be built from raw materials like wood or oil (for lights) by the player.
